How have you been?

Hey, there! How are you doing? Looks like things are gonna be this way for at least a few more weeks. Have you found your groove?

In this series, we're supporting everyone to make the most of their current situation. While we can't know what challenges everyone is facing right now, what we do know is that you are strong, resilient, and resourceful. We don't have to look far to find stories of human ingenuity, acts of kindness, and solidarity. 

COVID-19 has singlehandedly changed the way we work and learn. Now, we're all seated for most of the day in front of a screen (no, changing your virtual zoom background does not count as moving). We all know that staying active under normal circumstances is good for our health, mood, sleep, stress management, and overall wellbeing. If there was ever a time to develop a daily routine of movement, that time is definitely now. 

Tip #10: Get moving

So, no gyms are open, your favorite trails are closed, and you've been on a ton of walks and bike rides. What else is there? Well friends, sometimes we just need some good ideas and some direction. That's what we're here for. See below for some awesome *free* resources...

Nike Training Club

Get the app to match your kicks. The Nike Training Club Premium workout platform is free right now. Their on-demand classes include bodyweight-only sessions, targeted training programs, and yoga. 


Did you know that Peloton has non-bike workouts? Yup. They have in-app workouts that don't require any Peloton equipment. Check out their yoga, HIIT, and stretching workouts. They have extended their free trial to 90-days. See, you didn't need that Peloton bike for Christmas after all! 

Down Dog

All of the Down Dog apps are free until May 1st and for students, teachers, and healthcare professionals, they are free until July 1st. You'll find awesome yoga (beginner, experience, and prenatal), HIIT, Barre, and 7-minute workouts. 

Hy-Vee KidsFit

Parents shouldn't have all the fun. Kids needs exercise, too! Check out the Hy-Vee Kids Fit online exercise videos. These 15- to 20-minute videos are led by a KidsFit Certified Personal Trainer. 

ASICS Studio

Asics and Runkeeper have paired up and created audio-based circuit workouts that include strength training and cardio. All you need is your phone and some headphones. Right now, they're offering free access to all of their workouts for a limited time. 

Core Power Yoga

Core Power Yoga is offering a new collection of online classes every week for a limited time. Just click on the video for instant access. 


Here's another one for the kids. GoNoodle is a free online resource that provides fun and engaging videos. Check out the Good Energy at Home tab, where you can find movement, yoga, and mindfulness videos.
