How's it going?

Just checking in on you. How are you feeling? For many of us, the novelty of not going to school or into the office has completely worn off. Not to mention that staying at home and away from our loved ones and friends during a time of worry and stress is a weird thing. As humans, we naturally want to come together during times like these, but we can't do this physically. So, how do we handle COVID-19's isolating effect?

Tip #5: Reframe social distancing as physical distancing

The words "social distancing" are on blast everywhere. By now, most of understand the critical importance of staying home and away from dense or crowded areas. This move mitigates the sneaky spread of COVID-19 and protects everyone by flattening the curve. Being physically separated doesn't mean that we have to be socially isolated. If you aren't using FaceTime, Skype, or Google Duo (or enter your favorite video chat platform here) to connect with others virtually, try it! Reach out and chat with someone today.

Charades - Act out a person, place, or thing. No talking! How to play found here

20 Questions to guess an object - One person thinks of an object and the other person can ask up to 20 questions to guess the object.

Exhaustion - Say a category and a letter and the other person has to name 5 things of that category that start with that letter. For example, name 5 Harry Potter things that start with the letter "H" (you could say, "Harry, Hedwig, Hogsmeade, Hippogriff, and Hufflepuff"). 

2 Truths and a Lie - One person says three things about themself, where 2 things are true and 1 thing is a lie. The other person has to guess which thing is the lie. 

Follow the Leader - One person does a sequence of actions and the other person has to imitate them...exactly! 

Guess the Song - One person plays a song and the other person has to guess what it is.

Read my Lips - One person mutes their device and says a word. The other person has to guess what the word is. 

Last Letter - Make a chain of words on a given topic. One person names a word on a given topic. The other person names a word starting with the last letter of the word said right before (so, if Star Wars is the topic and the first person said "Force" the other person could say "Endor," then the next person could say, "Return of the Jedi").
